Spanish Language & Culture

About this Program

Open to students of all language levels, you will rapidly improve your Spanish language abilities in this focused, intensive program. Beginning level courses focus solely on language acquisition while intermediate, advanced, and superior level courses expand on Spanish culture in addition to grammar. All students are required to take a Spanish language placement exam upon arrival in Salamanca. This exam will determine your language level and course selections are not confirmed until the results are available. Classmates are international students from all over the world. All classes are taught by Universidad de Salamanca faculty in the Cursos Internacionales department.

  • Fall Quarter: late-September to mid-December
  • Winter Quarter: early-January to late-March
  • Spring Quarter: late-March to mid-June

Application Steps

  1. Complete Module I of Global Engagement with Education Abroad Canvas course, including Education Abroad 101 and attending a Planning Meeting with your Education Advisor.
  2. Complete the SU-Sponsored/SU-Exchange Program Application in Module II of the Canvas course by February 1 for selected program.

  • Credit Conversion Rate: 10 Contact Hours = 1 SU Quarter Credit
