Biography

Meghan earned a Juris Doctor and Master of Public Administration from the University of Washington. Meghan has worked in immigration law and advocacy, working with clients and providing policy-level support, in the public, private and nonprofit sectors. Her research interests include civic engagement and the experience of immigrants in the criminal justice system. As an immigration attorney, Meghan worked primarily with clients seeking relief from removal. She currently works for the Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs, where she consults on policy issues and manages the New Citizen Program, which provides free legal assistance to low-income immigrants seeking to apply for US citizenship. She continues to provide pro bono representation to individuals seeking asylum and U Visa relief. 

At Seattle University, she teaches Administrative Law in the Master of Public Administration program.
