Biography

I received my Master’s degree in Psychology from Seattle University’s Existential-Phenomenological Psychology program in 2003 and PhD in Clinical Psychology from Saybrook University in 2018. Since receiving the MA in Psychology, I have provided psychotherapy/counseling services to diverse clients in a counseling center on a college campus, community agencies, and private practice settings. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State and Licensed Psychologist in New York State and a National Certified Counselor (NCC), certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). I am a certified Focusing trainer as well as Focusing-Oriented therapist. I have training in Existential/Phenomenological-Humanistic psychology, Person-Centered Approach, Experiential Psychotherapy, and Psychodynamic Oriented Psychotherapy.

I have experience providing both short-term and long-term psychotherapy to individuals, couples, adolescents, and elderly from diverse backgrounds and cultures. I have been in private practice since 2006. Furthermore, I am an approved supervisor in WA and have been supervising post-graduate, pre-licensed individuals who are working towards full licensure as well as fully licensed individuals. In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I have been an adjunct member of the faculty at Seattle University since 2011 and at Saybrook University since 2019. I have taught graduate courses for psychology and counseling students. My area of interest include loneliness, therapeutic relationship, ethics in psychotherapy practice, psychotherapy theories, Focusing, and Existential psychology.
