Renowned harpsichordist and pianist Byron Schenkman of “Byron Schenkman and Friends,” presents a dynamic program of sacred music from the 17th century. The performance features chamber music, choral music, and solo vocal works by Baroque composers including Salamone Rossi, Chiara Margarita Cozzolani, Girolamo Alessandro Frescobaldi, and more. In addition to solo works presented by Byron Schenkman on the harpsichord, the program features ensemble and solo works by singers who are students and alumni of the Seattle University music program. Lead by student conductor, Nicky Manlove, the singers have all worked closely with Byron Schenkman in the preparation process.
