Search for Meaning Exhibition

Searching for Meaning

Curated by Trung Pham

February 16 - 25, 2017

The human search for meaning has occurred in many artistic expressions across history: the printed word, dance, sculpture, music, and theater. However, one of the most powerful forms of expression, especially prior to the beginning of universal education, has been the visual arts. This year the "Search for Meaning Festival" will include an exhibition, with pieces of work that explicitly explore the meaning of life. The show will be curated by Trung Pham, SJ, an art professor at Seattle University, who believes that religious traditions have spent so much time exploring the true and the good that the beautiful has been neglected. The art show will be augmented with several regionally and nationally renowned artists who are also authors.
