This fair serves students and professional sites alike by allowing you a common forum in which to link up during this time of quarantine.
Parties will be able to break off into individual "rooms" to conduct interviews. When the event is completed, both students and sites will be able to rank and submit their favorites to the department who will then pair the two for specific quarters during the following school year.

There are 2 job locations for us, one for Inpatient Therapy and one for the Outpatient Therapy. We can support 1 intern per quarter in each location. In both departments, the intern will function as a Rehab Aide. We have PT, OT and Speech Therapy in both locations. Inpatient: supporting therapists on the hospital floors working with patients, delivering equipment, helping with scheduling. Direct patient exposure the majority of the shift but time carved out to observe the student's discipline of primary interest (PT, OT or SLP) if exposure to that has been more limited. Outpatient: Rehab aide duties include keeping treatment and patient care areas organized and clean, supporting projects (including computer support using excel, word, etc.) and restocking supplies. Specific patient care observation is planned for about 40-50% of the time at the clinic per week, but may not be split equally each day depending on what patients of interest might be available to observe.

Internship job description
Upower, a Seattle-based nonprofit that provides fitness and wellness education to underserved teens, is seeking qualified coaches to join our team. Our coaches take a trauma-sensitive approach to coaching by creating a safe space for teens to learn how to regulate their emotions through sport and play. Upower opens doors to active and healthy living for underserved youth who have few, if any, opportunities to play team sports, work out, learn about nutrition, or enjoy the physical and emotional benefits of regular exercise. Upower coaches build trusting relationships with youth by being consistent and demonstrating value for each individual youth. In this environment, youth feel good about taking safe risks, such as trying a new sport or game with their peers.
Site Location will vary based on program needs, student interest and transportation access.

While we work remotely, the student will be exposed to high impact scientific literature produced by our research group, learn about research methods, to interpret data and discuss applications of results from the latest research we published in sports sciences. All of this with the goal of helping the students to understand how and why scientific knowledge should be the basis for any discussion in sports sciences.
We will also work together to learn about introductory data analysis including 3D motion capture, forces and EMG. The goal is to provide the student with an experience about how the scientific information is generated.
Due to a good experience with formers interns, we will promote live sessions for sharing experiences with other international students (mainly from Brazil), and the intern will also be invited to join some lectures we promote regularly for international students.
