The Kinesiology Department believes in the motto, ‘exercise for life, exercise for everyone’ and we work hard with our students to provide an evidence-based perspective to how sport and exercise science can improve one’s life. Our courses often incorporate assessments and activities that have our students applying their knowledge of theory to the greater Seattle community, and in ways that improve health and health promotion. Students are also required to complete internships that provide the opportunity to apply their knowledge in a workplace setting.
Students who complete our bachelor of science degree in Kinesiology will take on employment in community, clinical, industry, and medical settings. The strong foundation in human function and performance provides many students with knowledge necessary to pursue graduate studies in related fields of athletic training, occupational therapy, physical therapy, and general sports science.
