MS, Kinesiology graduate student Ashley Buck, supervised by Dr. Sarah Shultz, received a grant from The Biomechanics Initiative, Inc. The grant will support Buck's project to host a National Biomechanics Day event aimed at empowering and promoting women biomechanists. Utilizing the new Mobile Kinesiology Lab and engaging other undergraduate and graduate Kinesiology students, Shultz and Buck will bring the event to several high schools in the area and expand the accessibility of biomechanics and STEM education experiences to schools in areas that may not have the resources to otherwise provide these opportunities.
Hallie Bergford, Kinesiology and Seattle U Soccer, and Regie Grady, Kinesiology and SU Track and Field, were nominated for Women’s Sports Star of the Year (College) by the Olympia and Beyond Sports Commission.
Monica Nevi, BA, Sport and Exercise Science, ’12, appeared in the Upper Left Comedy Fest in May, 2022.
