The Seattle University Master of Nonprofit Leadership (MNPL) program offers a practicum for graduate students during their second year of studies, designed to support nonprofit organizations in key areas of leadership and management. This practicum provides an opportunity for students to assess current strategies and make recommendations, while also allowing them to apply their education and hone their nonprofit leadership skills through practical application.
Each fall, we seek regional nonprofits interested in student support across various domains, including but not limited to board governance, finance and fundraising, communications and advocacy, and program and policy evaluations, with a focus on diversity and equity. Once matched, students work with organizations for 20-25 hours from December through March, under the supervision of faculty members. Students conduct assessments, analyze opportunities, and deliver implementation-ready recommendations to the organization.
Applications for the program will be available in June. For further details, please reach out to NPL’s graduate program coordinator, Nicole Plastino.
Once matched, individual students are available to work with an organization for 3 to 5 hours a week from December through March. Under the supervision of our faculty, the students conduct assessments, analyze opportunities, and deliver implementation-ready recommendations to the organization.
We are not accepting applications for the Nonprofit Leadership Practicum in 2023-24.
The Nonprofit Leadership program is evaluating the curriculum and exploring a variety of community-engaged learning options. Please check back in Spring of 2024 for updates.
