LinkUp is a structured, low-key, networking event that connects current A&S undergraduate and graduate students with A&S alumni.
Meet alumni, discover shared interests, discuss professional plans and ideas, and start a mentoring relationship.
Not all mentoring opportunities have to be time consuming or highly structured. We believe that our students can get a wealth of information in quick bursts. Some of the most impactful conversations could be had during a 10-15 minutes session.
LinkUp is a micro-mentoring event, there will be 3 short rounds of connections (15 minutes) where students get to practice speaking with people in a wide range of industries. Our goal is to have our students connect with at least 3 mentors during the event.
After the event, students will receive an email recommending at least 2 mentors who align with their interests for further connection.
We welcome students of all class years and encourage you to come every year.

Mentors are there to connect you
"Recent graduates are eager to come back and share their post- graduation experiences. Graduates realize how much their education benefits them once they are out in the world."
The best way to prepare: dress in "smart casual," be prepared to share a 30 second introduction of yourself - your elevator pitch, have a general list of questions you want to ask the alumni, and come ready to chat. It's that simple!
"A student from LinkUp contacted me about sitting down over coffee to chat about law school and law practice. I am happy to do that."
I most enjoyed that this was structured networking! This made it so much more comfortable and easier to talk to the alumni. I also really appreciated that it allowed me to meet other students in similar situations.
2018 Student AttendeeI really appreciate this event especially as first year student. I thought the alumni had varying perspectives which was beneficial.
