The mission of the Seattle University (SU) Department of Social Work is to educate students for social justice-focused and community-based social work practice. We educate our students to challenge systemic injustice, help those in vulnerable situations, heal trauma, and strive for social change through their practices. The Department is committed to respectful engagement and collaboration with community partners in its scholarship, teaching, and service.
