The Albers Career Center provides Albers undergrad and grad students with multiple opportunities for connecting with employers and building professional development skills throughout the academic year. The Business & Engineering Career Fair, held during the fall quarter, provides business and engineering students with the opportunity to connect with local company recruiters to explore full-time job and internship options and to build their professional network. The Business & Engineering Career Fair includes leading employers from the Greater Puget Sound business area. Check the Upcoming Events page in the fall quarter for event information.
The Albers Career Center and SU Career Engagement Office partner to bring representatives from over 50 organizations to campus for this event in the winter and spring quarters. During the Career & Internship Fair, students of all majors have the opportunity to speak with potential employers about full-time job and internship opportunities. Career Fair Prep Guide
Companies will post job or internship opportunities on Handshake and will often host their first round interviews in the Albers Career Center. Check your e-mail and Handshake for upcoming interviews on campus.
Network with company representatives to learn about their corporate culture and career opportunities. Check your email for information about upcoming company information sessions.
Want advice on your resume directly from a recruiter/employer? Want to practice interviewing in a more realistic setting with people who interview candidates on a regular basis? Every quarter the Albers Career Center hosts a Resume Review with Employers event and a Mock Interviews with Employers event. Both events are round-robin style so you'll have the opportunity to gain feedback from 3-4 employers in a non-pressuring environment. This is also a great networking opportunity.

The signature networking event for Albers undergrad students to make connections with alumni, mentors, and employers and enhance their career development. The event takes place in the winter quarter usually at an off campus location to replicate company or professional mingling events. Professionals come from a variety of industries such as finance, marketing, analytics, operations, HR, and consulting to provide information to students about career fields and advice on job searching. Attending this event can be beneficial to students who are in a job search or exploring their career interests. Prior to the event, the Albers Career Center will have a Networking Practice/Open House event in Pigott 331 to help students get prepared, practice their personal introduction, or answer any questions regarding the event itself. Albers Career Night Networking Tips
The signature networking event for Albers grad students and is held every spring quarter. Albers Grad Career Connections provides students an opportunity to connect with Albers grad alumni, mentors and local business professionals, as well as fellow grad students, in order to build their professional network and explore various career options. Companies that have been represented in the past include: Amazon, Alaska Airlines, BitTitan, BlackRock, Boeing, CBRE, Coca-Cola, DocuSign, Expedia, Expeditors, Fluke, HomeStreet Bank, JP Morgan Chase, KPMG, Logic 20/20, Lyft, Mass Mutual, Microsoft, Nordstrom, PACCAR, Providence, Puget Sound Energy, REI, Russell Investment Group, Slalom, Starbucks, T-Mobile, TokuSaku Consulting, Unify Consulting, West Monroe Partners, Zillow and Vulcan. The Etiquette Dinner is in the winter quarter and provides a wonderful opportunity for students to learn business dining etiquette and networking skills. The event is facilitated by an external professional etiquette speaker who helps students practice professional etiquette and social skills that can be used at interviews, business luncheons and networking events. Various seminars, panels and workshops are provided throughout the year on career topics including job search strategies, recruiting tips, finding an internship, salary negotiation, and industry insights. Sometimes representatives from local employers will conduct the workshops so you can get the chance to learn more about the companies and what they’re looking for when hiring candidates. The Albers Mentor Program is a unique opportunity for graduate-level and senior undergraduate business students to interact with upper level executives from leading Puget Sound companies and organizations. It offers opportunities to develop business contacts, access industry information, and gain valuable insights from experienced and successful professionals.
Small groups of 1 to 3 students meet monthly with a mentor throughout the academic year. Mentors serve as advisors and sources of industry information, discuss business projects, and help establish contacts in the business community. Often, students discuss their career goals with mentors who offer advice and assistance. The program kicks off early every fall quarter with the Mentor Fair event which provides an orientation for students and the chance to meet some of the mentors in person before joining the program.
