The Albers Career Center conducts a CPT Information Session every year just before the fall quarter begins. The information session covers CPT eligibility and the process for obtaining a CPT. International Students will receive an email with information about the session a few weeks before the start of the quarter.
If you miss the CPT Information Session, you can always make an appointment with a Career Advisor in the Albers Career Center to get more information. It is highly recommended that every international student talk with a Career Advisor about CPT before applying for paid internships to ensure eligibility and to understand the process and expectations.
The Albers Career Center facilitates 2-3 workshops per year focused on topics relevant to international students including H1B work visa, finding work for OPT, gaining advice from alumni panels, etc. Check out the Upcoming Events page and your email every quarter to find out about upcoming workshops.
