Catfish Corner Express is a family-owned counter serve dishing out Southern-style fried seafood & classic sides that has been a staple in Seattle for years – and they are opening a second location! Last month, Catfish Corner Express was awarded a $245,000 grant from the King County Communities of Opportunity Fund for construction and restaurant equipment at their new second location at 23rd & Jackson, which will be opening in February 2021. Additionally, they were approved by the City of Seattle's Office of Economic Development (OED) to receive a $100,000 grant for tenant improvement construction.
Catfish Corner Express has been associated with the Seattle University Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center as a Resource Amplification & Management Program (RAMP-up) client since Fall 2019. The RAMP-up team of students, professors, and staff members has helped the business with financial statements and business plan development and have been with the business every step of the way.
