Applying to the Program
We are excited to have you join us for the 2024 Albers Summer Business Institute program! This page contains helpful information about the process of applying to a pre-college program at Seattle University.
Getting Started
In order to start the process, you will need to follow the below steps. Please, make sure you read them thoroughly before starting the process.
- Visit the pre-college application page for Seattle University.
- NEW APPLICANTS: If this is your first time applying to a program then scroll to "First-time user". If you already have an account with us then follow the directions under Step 3.
- Click on "create an account"
- Each student will need to enter their email address, first name, last name, and date of birth. Please, make sure you use an email address you check regularly.
- Select "Albers Summer Business Institute" as your program of choice. You may select more than one program.
- Check your email for a temporary PIN. Don't see it? Be sure to check your junk folder. If you need further assistance then email the Precollege team at summer@seattleu.edu.
- Complete the application.
- RETURNING APPLICANTS: If you already have an account with us then scroll to "Returning user". If you do not have an account with us then follow the directions under Step 2.
- Click on "Log in"
- Use your email address and password to log in
- Scroll to the bottom and select "Start New Application"
- Select "Albers Summer Business Institute" as your program of choice. You may select more than one program.
- Update your information as needed for your application.
The Application
Some important things to keep in mind when working through the application:
- You don't need to complete the application in one sitting.
- It's important to provide an email address that you check on a regular basis.
- There are three essay components:
- Why are you interested in participating in your selected program(s)?
The Albers School of Business & Economics is interested in learning more about you as an applicant! What inspires you to explore the field of entrepreneurship? What aspect of business do you want to learn more about? Was there a class/teacher that helped you find a passion for a topic? etc.
- Please provide a brief description of your community service experiences.
Seattle University encourages students to develop a sense of responsibility for their community. Please share how you have given back to your community.
- Please provide a brief statement of need.
The statement of need helps us better understand you as an applicant and how receiving financial assistance will help you in achieving your goals.
Application Timeline
- April 1, 2024: Application becomes available
- April 19, 2024: Priority Application Deadline
- May 10, 2024: Application status notification date
- June 7, 2024: Deposit and enrollment confirmation due
- Rolling notifications: General applicants status notification date
- June 21, 2024: General applicants deposit due
Please check your application status portal for changes after you submit your application! After an admissions decision is made you will receive an email from Seattle University Admissions notifying you that there has been a change to your application status. To view the decision you need to sign in to your application status portal.
