Personal Bio
Sihong is an econometrician with research interests in nonparametric estimation and testing. She teaches statistics, econometrics, quantitative methods, and forecasting courses at Seattle University to undergraduate and graduate students. In her doctoral dissertation, she proposed a new class of estimators for regression discontinuity designs, a popular econometric model that has been used in economics, political science and other social and behavioral sciences to evaluate the effects of policy or experimental interventions. Prior to pursing her doctoral degree, Sihong was a software engineer working in high tech companies and financial service companies including Hewlett-Packard Company and Kroll Factual Data. In her spare time, she enjoys nature hikes, playing volley-ball, badminton, table tennis, as well as listening to audio books.
