Personal Bio
Colin López obtained his PhD in Business Administration from Temple University in 2022. Previously, Colin had obtained his BBA from Loyola University Chicago and an MS in Sport Administration from California State University, Long Beach. At Seattle University, Colin teaches courses in the Sport and Entertainment Management MBA program, as well as teaching Introduction to Information Systems to undergraduate students. Colin has conducted both qualitative and quantitative research examining consumer behavior in the sport industry, behavioral pricing in sports gambling, sponsorship strategies of sport/esport organizations, as well as burnout and work-family conflict in sport and recreation settings. Colin has published in the Journal of Business Research, Leisure Studies, Journal of Sport Management, Sport Management Review, Sport Marketing Quarterly, and the Recreational Sports Journal. Prior to pursuing a career in academia, Colin held positions with Loyola Marymount University Athletics, the Rose Bowl Operating Company, Association of Volleyball Professionals (AVP), and Long Beach State Athletics.
