Personal Bio
Matt Sutorius, CPA, M.S., Clinical Adjunct Professor, teaches Financial Accounting for Executives in the Spring quarter. Matt is a shareholder at Clark Nuber in the Audit and Assurance Services Group, where he has worked for the past 13 years. Matt’s practice area of focus involves performing audits and consulting work for start-up technology companies in the SAAS, biotech, ed-tech, and video game verticals. Matt has extensive experience with technical financial accounting, including leading Clark Nuber’s implementation plan for client adoption of ASC 606. Matt also leads Clark Nuber’s internal audit training group and is responsible for developing curriculum that both complies with AICPA standards and assists in the achievement of department objectives for continuous education.
Having led the firm’s adoption of new audit technologies, Matt has also consulted with accounting firms across the country on the incorporation of data analytics and new technologies in audit programs. Matt graduated with a master’s degree in accounting from the University of Missouri in 2008. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant and Certified Fraud Examiner. He currently serves on the Finance Committee of the Bellevue Chamber of Commerce.
