Judy Yu, MS, MA

Personal Bio

Judy leads the Center for Leadership Formation’s mission to recruit qualified and intensely passionate students to the Seattle University Executive MBA programs.  Judy’s role includes building strategic relationships with businesses to identify qualified candidates and working with individual candidates throughout the applications to admissions process.

Judy offers long and diverse experience in higher education having previously served for seven years with Seattle U Athletics creating signature fundraising events to support the department. She has also served on the Board of Trustees at Central Washington University and was the Public Information Officer at Shoreline Community College. She has worked with the University of Washington Alumni Association to launch their legislative advocacy efforts with UWImpact.  As a business entrepreneur Judy was co-founder of an ethnic marketing firm, Asianet Marketing, dedicated to bringing awareness of the economic and political viability of Asian American communities to the attention of corporations.

These experiences have given her a wide range of perspectives to support her work with the broader business community and for the recruitment of a diverse cohort of students to maximize their learning experience. Judy believes in the power of leadership transformation and is excited to work with students of the Leadership Executive MBA and Executive Leadership Programs.  She says, "The Jesuit mission is to 'dare forth and set the world on fire', and I strongly believe our grads create a better world for all with their social justice conscience."
