Danie Eagleton, M. Ed., is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) and current adjunct professor in Seattle University’s Clinical Mental Health program. She received her Master of Education in Counseling Psychology from Howard University (1994), has been licensed as an LMHC in the State of Washington since 2001, and is an Approved Clinical Supervisor. Her approach to therapy is client and student centered, and she utilizes an eclectic clinical orientation that combines solution focus cognitive behavioral therapy that also incorporates the components of recovery in mental health. She has previously worked at both Lake Washington Technical College and Seattle Central Community College.
Danie is a leader in the fields of mental health and education and splits her time and interest between the fields. She has previously worked in Student Development at Seattle, Howard, and Tufts universities. Her time as an instructor includes 10 years of part-time work at Seattle Central Community. Danie is a graduate of the NCHB’s Addressing Health Disparities Leadership program, where her focus was workforce development, recruitment, and retention strategies. She has held leadership roles at Navos, Valley Cities, Seattle Counseling Services, and Wellspring Family Services. Her time is also spent volunteering as a board member for MultiCare Behavioral Health and as a board chair for Recovery Café.
