Disabilities, Opportunities, Internetworking, and Technology (DO-IT)
DO-IT serves to increase the participation of individuals with disabilities in challenging academic programs and careers. It promotes the use of computer and networking technologies to increase independence, productivity, and participation in education and employment.
Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA)
The DDA assists individuals with developmental disabilities and their families to obtain services and supports based on individual preference, capabilities and needs, and which promote everyday activities, routines and relationships common to most citizens.
Division of Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)
Each DVR office throughout the state is committed to offering a welcoming environment and providing the information and support necessary for people with disabilities to direct and receive the goods and services in a way that makes the most sense for them. The Arc of Washington State
Since 1936, The Arc of Washington State has been a leader in the development of services and programs for people with developmental disabilities, such as autism, cerebral palsy, mental retardation, epilepsy and related neurological disorders which occur before age 18. The Arc of Washington State is a non-profit organization affiliated with The Arc of the United States and eleven local Arc chapters throughout the state.
University of Washington Center for Technology and Disability Studies
Technology can increase access to education, community, and employment for people with disabilities. The UW Center for Technology and Disability Studies is an interdisciplinary program focusing on research, education, advocacy, and informatics related to assistive technology and accessible information systems.
