A Season of Light – Prayer, Spiritual Direction, and Religious Literacy
This month's CEIE message comes from SU-STM Alum - Reverend Justin Almeida.
Rev. Almeida shares on the Center's "... commitment as a beacon of connection between and within traditions of faith, spirituality, indigenous, and cultural wisdom. In service, it spreads the light of human spirit locally, nationally, and internationally. In creativity, it shines human loving kindness through webinars, workshops, and other sources of theological praxis. It convenes under the light of spirit, heart, and mind, bringing together the best of humanity in conversations of immediate importance to human well-being and flourishing. Its light explores the depths of human participation in the work of creation."
Rev. Almeida also invites the viewer to join him by registering now for the Art of Spiritual Direction Workshop in the coming New Year, and highlights the 12/8 hybrid webinar with Elise DeGooyer and the Faith Action Network.
In January, our Center Message will come from our CEIE Director and Spehar-Halligan Professor, Dr. Michael Reid Trice.

The Interfaith Observer Fall 2022 Online Journal Issue - Now Live!
On September 1st of this year, CEIE integrated The Interfaith Observer (TIO) into its offering, including TIO's vast archive of articles and resources, for use in online resources in the months to come.
This week we launch TIO"s first online journal in over two years on the theme of Religious Literacy. Literacy is a life-long practice (and joy!) for learning about the religious and cultural norms and values within the worldviews of those around us.
The Fall 2022 TIO Online Journal Issue is dedicated to this practice of learning, by understanding the norms evident in protecting the world's rain forests, and by witnessing to the lives of Kaifeng Jews within Chinese culture. Eight new essays are now live in the TIO Online Journal, follow the essays and links below for more splendid reading.
