Coordinating and Transforming the Year Ahead

This month's CEIE message comes from SU-CEIE Student Affiliate Sofia Sayabalian.

As the Center works to coordinate innovative and transformational events, it continues to commit to the Seattle U. Vision for Reigniting Our Strategic Directions - to be a Center that imagines and shapes its work with excellence, purpose and impact.

In November, we are pleased to welcome SU-STM Alumn Rose Hesselbrock who will deliver our CEIE November message as an advisor to the Center.

The Interfaith News Roundup is an aggregator of important religion and spirituality news in the world, and is a monthly feature in The Interfaith Observer (TIO) since 2011. Today TIO is at home in the Religica Theolab at The Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement (CEIE) at Seattle University.

This month’s Roundup features stories on religion, governance, and education; how religious communities are working together to take action against climate change; and interfaith events that have recently taken place across the globe.

A New Relationship – The Interfaith Observer

This academic year CEIE begins a new partnership with the premier interreligious and intercultural digital publication of its kind – The Interfaith Observer (TIO)

Founded by Rev. Paul Chaffee, a respected luminary in the field, TIO provides timely perspectives on current interfaith news; it profiles major stakeholders and  provides maps and sign-posts for the different sectors of an emerging interfaith culture.

The Center is currently seeking contributors for TIO's November Issue on Religious Literacy. If you're interested in being a contributor, please contact Megan Anderson at v-anderm@seattleu.edu.
