Cindy graduated in June 2018 from Seattle University’s School of Theology and Ministry, with a Master’s Degree in Transformational Leadership. After a successful career teaching public school Humanities, she moved into a career in Communications with the Pacific Northwest Conference of the United Methodist Church and Pierce County Parks. She currently serves as the first-ever Climate Justice Coordinator for the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department, working to ensure public health and climate equity are included in community planning and land use decisions. As a volunteer, Cindy serves as elected Board Vice-Chair for the Pierce Conservation District, and as Vice-Chair for the Chambers Clover-Creek Watershed Council.
