Through the generous support of the Henry Luce Foundation, and the Foundation’s grant to Seattle University that is committed to the Future of Theological Education, the Center for Ecumenical and Interreligious Engagement at SU convened its second project of academic study, this time titled: Gratitude, Injury and Repair in a Pandemic Age.
Thirteen faculty -- theologians, psychologists, sociologists, historians, and religious scholars – met virtually from April 2020 through November 2021 to share perspectives, deliver papers and discuss the impact of what the cohort of scholars began referring to as a “pandemic age.” Their insights assist in making sense of the larger societal complications we endure today.
An edited volume will be released in the coming year, as will new multi-media companion resource local communities and classrooms to the main volume.
