Public Affairs | College of Arts and Sciences | UG
This seminar and discussion course will critically examine the discourse on the 'urban crisis' from the past and present and will scrutinize the public policies that aim to solve these challenges, particularly through the use of policy case studies. We will additionally learn to analyze public policy efforts in terms of 'effectiveness', 'equity',and 'justice'and probe the ever-political nature of public policy. Students will explore the urban policy debates both locally and nationally, while keeping a keen eye toward our host city of Seattle
