In July 2018, scholars from around the world attended the International Association of Jesuit Business Schools and the Colleagues in Jesuit Business Education "Innovation for Sustainability Conference" which was hosted by the Seattle University Albers School of Business and Economics and CEJS.
The conference featured speakers such as former Loyola University Chicago President Fr. Michael Garanzini, S.J. and former CEO of Ford Motor Company Alan Mulally. There were also workshops for incorporating sustainability into the curriculum and for integrating inclusion, collaboration and equity in watershed management. The conference resulted in a special issue of the Journal of Management for Global Sustainability which had contributions from several Seattle University faculty.
