All Washingtonians 16 and Older Eligible for Vaccine Effective April 15
Governor Jay Inslee announced today that effective April 15 all Washingtonians over the age of 16 will be eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Today also marks a key milestone as vaccine eligibility in the state of Washington moves into Tiers 3 and 4 of Phase 1B. For more information, including a locator tool to help register for a vaccination appointment, visit COVID-19 Vaccine.
At the same time, we know that COVID-19 cases are spiking throughout the nation and in Washington, particularly on college campuses. Please get vaccinated when you are eligible and keep wearing masks, maintaining physical distance, avoiding crowds and washing hands. Let’s all continue to do everything we can to keep ourselves and each other healthy and safe.
Register Your Vaccination
Members of the SU community are encouraged to voluntarily share that they’ve been vaccinated for COVID-19 at the Safe Start Health Check site. Those who have been vaccinated but have yet to register are asked to please complete this form. The information will help the university to continue effective contact tracing and support proactive measures in alignment with public health protocol.

University Extends Non-essential Travel Suspension
Non-essential university travel will remain suspended through the end of the 2020-21 academic year. Among other travel, the continued suspension applies to study abroad programs and service trips.
Post-Travel Self-Quarantine Requirements
The Centers for Disease Control issued updated post-travel self-quarantine guidance last month. As a result, the amount of time you are required to self-quarantine after traveling out of Washington State has now also been reduced from 14 days to 10 days. More information on CDC guidance, surveillance testing for residential students and self-test kits for faculty and staff working on campus can be found in this update.
