Seattle University is a fully vaccinated campus, as spelled out in Governor Jay Inslee’s proclamation on institutions of higher education. This means we essentially are able to return to normal, in-person campus operations with fewer restrictions and limitations than campuses that are not fully vaccinated.
Current faculty and staff are required to submit the Faculty/Staff COVID-19 Vaccine Registration Form indicating they are fully vaccinated or seek an approved exemption by completing an Exemption Request Form. There is also a strong expectation that faculty and staff stay up to date with their COVID vaccinations by getting a booster vaccination as soon as they become eligible and registering their booster vaccination here.
Newly hired faculty and staff are required to submit a vaccine registration form upon hire if they are fully vaccinated or seek an approved exemption. Faculty and staff not in compliance with the vaccination policy are not permitted to perform work for the university.
Seattle University’s face covering policy can be found here. The university has a limited supply of masks available for the campus community. Faculty and staff should request face coverings through their designated contact (Appendix A).
At this time surveillance testing is not required for fully vaccinated faculty and staff; however, diagnostic testing remains important. (Weekly testing is required for faculty and staff with approved vaccination exemptions.)
