Dear Seattle U Alumni and Friends,
I hope this message finds you and your families safe and well as, together, we continue to navigate the COVID-19 pandemic. Many of our alumni and friends have asked what they can do to help students who are struggling with unexpected financial hardships during these difficult times. I am deeply grateful for your concern and caring for their wellbeing.
While we are doing all that we can as a university to help those students who are most in need, we simply cannot do it alone. Today I am asking you, if you are able, to make a gift to the Seattle University Student Emergency Needs Fund.
Your support will help students meet their basic needs and continue their studies at Seattle U this Spring. Gifts of all sizes to the emergency fund are appreciated and will assist students struggling with access to food, housing and other financial challenges. Thank you for giving consideration to this important initiative which truly goes to the heart of who we are called to be as a Jesuit university.
COVID-19 is testing us as never before, but it is also revealing what makes our university so special. I am grateful to our faculty, staff and students for adapting to the reality before us, and I am thankful to you, our alumni and friends, for being there with and for us now and always. Together, we will get through this and I believe come out of it an even stronger Seattle University family. In the meantime, please do stay connected with us and know that my prayers and good wishes are with you and your loved ones.
Sincerely,
Stephen V. Sundborg, S.J.
