Mandatory Surveillance Testing for Residential and Commuter Students
A reminder that all residential students are required to be tested for COVID-19 weekly, and a random sampling of 10 percent of commuter students are also being tested weekly. Visit surveillance testing for a message that was sent to all students yesterday.
COVID-19 Self-test Kits Available for Faculty and Staff Working on Campus
Seattle University continues to provide COVID-19 self-test kits to faculty and staff who regularly work on campus. Seattle University will pay for the cost of the kit, but the administration and results are private—no information is shared with the university. To receive a testing kit, please use this link to set an appointment for pick-up at the Human Resources office located at Rianna 200, 718 12th St. (between Columbia and Cherry). By scheduling an appointment, HR staff will be able to follow all safety protocols. Upon arrival please ring for entrance and provide your SU ID as identification.
Report on COVID-19 Vaccine Delivery in King County
As of Feb. 1, a total of 250,063 doses have been administered to King County residents. Sixty-six percent of licensed health care workers have received at least one dose. Twenty-nine percent of King County residents 65-years-old to 74-years-old have received at least one dose, as have 30 percent of those older than 75-years-old. Until You Get a Vaccine...
While many of us await our turns for COVID-19 vaccines, it is imperative to follow good health and safety practices. Please be sure to wear face coverings, maintain physical distancing, avoid large gatherings and wash hands thoroughly and frequently. We all have a responsibility to one another and to our hard-working healthcare and other frontline workers.

As President Sundborg announced yesterday, Seattle University’s commencement ceremonies will be held virtually this year. The undergraduate and graduate ceremony will take place Sunday, June 13, and the law school will hold its ceremony on Saturday, May 15.
