Sanctions are intended to offer students opportunities to engage, discern, and grow in their experiences at Seattle University. Whenever possible, staff will work with students to identify what sanctions will be most impactful for a students' learning and context, while also attempting to offer similar outcomes for similar situations.
Conduct Administrators and Review Boards decide which sanctions to assign based on the nature of the violation(s), what will be meaningful for a student's experience, whether the student has a record of previous integrity formation incidents, and what sanctions have typically been issued for students found Responsible for similar violations. Students are required to complete their assigned sanctions, and failure to complete an assigned sanction as assigned may result in additional disciplinary action.
