Under the direction and through a partnership between Vice President for Diversity and Inclusion Natasha Martin and Provost Shane Martin, the LIFT SU Goal Three Working Group, committed to exploring recruitment and retention of BIPOC faculty, released a set of recommendations based on research into high-impact practices.
These recommendations grew into a Faculty Hiring Guidebook, expanding and refining existing practices to systematize equitable processes.
Among other components, these new practices include a two-part required Search Committee training, to assist committee members in realizing stated goals and objectives.
