Colleen received her Master of Education in curriculum and teaching with an emphasis in special education from Boston University. She taught special education at Title I public schools on the East Coast (Massachusetts and New York City) and most recently in South King County for seven years.
As an inclusive educator Colleen worked in a fully integrated co-taught classroom, and also served as a departmental lead. She co-authored a legal compliance guide on IEPs with a New York City law firm. Colleen was also an instructor at Bellevue College in the Early Learning and Teacher Education Department prior to this role.
Colleen is endorsed in special education and mathematics.
