The Clinical Mental Health Counseling program has a long-standing reputation of graduating outstanding counselors who have become leaders in the counseling profession. Members of the Seattle University counseling faculty are recognized by their peers for excellence and professionalism.
Designed to meet the needs of working people, an average program of study is usually completed in three years. Courses are offered in the afternoons and evenings and meet weekly.
The Counseling Program operates under a cohort model that begins in the fall term. Admitted students may choose to take some foundational courses during the summer. We no longer admit students for the winter or spring terms.

Seattle University Counseling students have received prestigious national fellowships through the National Board for Certified Counselors Foundation (NBCCF). Their awards range from $10,000 to $20,000. Read more here.
