Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA)
Albers School of Business and Economics
Magda Garcia Martinez, ’22 MSBA, loves a challenge. A fascination with space led her to a bachelor’s and master’s in aerospace engineering in her home country of Spain. After several years, she took her skills to consulting in tech and when she transferred to San Francisco at the start of the pandemic, she pivoted to focus on COVID strategies in the public sector. But after two years, the urgent, nonstop work became unsustainable, so Magda turned to graduate school in the MSBA program to reset and map out her next challenge—applying data and business skills in a new program manager role at a big tech company. As an international student, she has mastered the challenges of visas and unfamiliar cultural expectations and as soon as she gets her green card, she will be off to pursue her dream of working on space programs in the US.
