The Season of Resilience and Work Towards Justice
The seasons look and feel different this year. Fall quarter began last week, two weeks early, yet few people are on campus, and most courses, along with major events, will be conducted online. We are in the middle of the annual Season of Creation (September 1 - October 4), and on the West coast, most everyone is unable to step outdoors due to wildfire smoke. And while presidential election seasons always have a spark of excitement and divisive banter, this year we see growing fault lines between political ideals, even in the Catholic Church. Despite these shifts in seasons, it is exciting to see communities and groups responding with hope and resiliency through engagement with the tools of Catholic Jesuit discernment, wisdom, and innovation! Look in our newsletter for opportunities on resources for the upcoming elections, and more information on the Catholic Heritage series.
