Sign of the Times
In the face of complex long-standing issues of racial injustice, the economy, and the environment, along with the many transitions that we as a university are going through, it’s really important to keep in mind how inter-connected we are and that our lives and the choices that we make are not just our own. ICTC is pleased to offer a spring program schedule that addresses this and invites us to think about responding to these complex and often painful issues with a posture of creativity, compassion and hope, and with strategies, attitudes, and behaviors that enhance all of humanity.
This spring ICTC welcomes Dr. Erica Chenoweth of Harvard University who will talk about the future of non-violent resistance; our Interreligious Dialogue Initiative brings together Lummi Elder Darrell Hillaire and Pat Twohy, SJ, in a discussion on creation and spirituality; a panel of our own constituency will present ideas about a better kind of politics; and finally we enjoy the fruits of the research and writing of our current faculty fellows as they present on their topics throughout the quarter.
