Sign of the Times
On February 24, two Seattle University students will participate in the upcoming event Building Brides: A Synodal Encounter between Pope Francis and University Students, hosted by Loyola University Chicago. This historic encounter between the Pope and university students from North, Central, and South America will address salient challenges of our times. The students will share concrete educational projects that seek to justly transform environmental and economic realities and the manifold ways their educational commitments can contribute to integrate and empower existential peripheries.
You can join Shala McKee, Cultural Anthropology major (pictured above, left) and Afrikaan Osman, Computer Science major & Business minor (pictured above, right) and their encounter with Pope Francis by registering to view the livestream here (2/24 at 10am PST).
After watching the Building Bridges event, join ICTC that afternoon for a conversation with Cardinal Wilton Gregory of Washington D.C. (2/24 at 12:30pm on Zoom, more info below). If you missed the Catholic Heritage Series Synodality panel on February 10, the recording is available on the ICTC Vimeo page. Wrapping up our Synodality theme is a visit from Bishop Robert McElroy of San Diego on March 28; register for the in-person reception and lecture on Eventbrite!
