Memorial Mass for Raymond Hunthausen
Tuesday, October 9 at 7pm in the Chapel of St. Ignatius with a reception following
Seattle University will commemorate the historic pastoral ministry of Raymond Hunthausen, archbishop of Seattle, 1975-1991, with a Memorial Mass on October 9 at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of St. Ignatius. Fr. Pat Howell, SJ, will be the celebrant. Father Howell was dean of the School of Theology and Ministry when Hunthausen Hall was named after this strong ecumenical leader. Archbishop Hunthausen also inaugurated a joint program in 1985 with Seattle University for the training for lay pastoral leaders in the Church. All are welcome to join in the celebration of his life and ministry. Co-sponsored with SU's School of Theology and Ministry.

Join with Christians worldwide to commemorate the Season of Creation, the time between September 1 (World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation) and October 4 (feast day of St. Francis of Assisi). We invite all people of faith to celebrate the joy which the Earth shares with us. Let us come together to thank God for the richness that is in the Creation which we share. Father Michael G.
