The Division of Mission Integration advances and supports the work of anchoring Seattle University in its Jesuit and Catholic character. In doing so, the division helps ensure that mission-related concerns are represented in an informed way throughout all levels of the University’s decision-making processes, the educative, spiritual, engagement with the community, and cura apostolis.
The Division of Mission Integration (DMI) coordinates and oversees initiatives that aim to animate and enliven the Jesuit and Catholic educational mission of Seattle University. DMI collaborates across campus to create opportunities for members of the Seattle University community to encounter and engage with the rich Jesuit educational tradition that seeks to form leaders for social transformation through the pursuit of academic excellence, inspired by faith that does justice. DMI seeks to help create an Ignatian campus culture characterized by care for students, reflective practices in teaching, learning and leading, and the search for meaning and purpose in working for the common good. DMI hosts programs and conversation circles for the diverse members of the university community to discern the distinctive ways they contribute to whole person education grounded in competence, conscience and compassion.
