Onur Bakiner (PhD in Political Science, Yale University; MS in Computer Science, Seattle University) is Associate Professor of Political Science at Seattle University. His research and teaching interests include transitional justice, human rights, and judicial politics, particularly in Latin America and the Middle East. Currently, he has been working on a research project examining the impact of emerging technologies on fundamental rights. His past research investigates the role truth commissions play in contemporary societies, and judicial actors during prolonged internal conflict.
