Dance Marathon's executive director makes a personal appeal to faculty and staff.

Desi Caswell, a senior set to graduate this spring with a double degree in Cultural Anthropology and Humanities for Leadership (center), shares the following:

“I have been involved in Dance Marathon for four years at Seattle U and it is by far the most inspirational thing that I have seen or done. Getting to meet families whose children have been, or currently are, patients at Seattle Children’s has shown me the incredible things that our campus community is doing to end childhood cancer and illness.

"The support of faculty and staff has been paramount to our success, so I would like to personally invite you to be a part of our life-changing work at the 11th Annual Seattle University Dance Marathon on Saturday, Feb. 17, in Campion Ballroom. I, along with other the hundreds of students dancing for 16 hours in solidarity with the kids, would love your support on this day as we attempt to raise $206,000 by 2:06 a.m.! Our community hour begins at noon and includes fun for all ages.

"If not able to attend, you may also support through making a donation at www.seattleudancemarathon.org or bidding on one of the awesome items in our silent auction. I hope to see you there!”
