The Institute for Catholic Thought and Culture (ICTC) hosted the second annual Catholic Immigration Summit on March 10.
The event was an opportunity for “fellow Catholics…(to) share our immigrant journeys—old and new—and discern where we go from here.”
As reported in Northwest Catholic, some 200 people attended the summit, at which keynote speaker and ICTC Director Catherine Punsalan-Manlimos, said, “There is no ambiguity on how the people of God are called to treat the foreigner and the stranger.”
Attendees explored the theme “My Liberation is Bound Up With Yours” before ending the day with a Mass in the Chapel of St. Ignatius celebrated by Auxiliary Bishop Daniel Mueggenborg of the Archdiocese of Seattle.
