New Leader for Career Services

Hilary Flanagan has been hired as Seattle University’s new executive director of Career Services, Interim Provost Bob Dullea announced last week. She will begin at SU April 1. 

“Hilary will bring a wealth of knowledge and experience to this role,” wrote Dullea. She is currently serving as director of the Career Center at the University of Notre Dame. Prior to that, she was director of Career Services at John Carroll University, a sister Jesuit university. 

Flanagan has a master’s degree in student development in higher education from the University of Maine, and a bachelor’s degree in government from the United States Coast Guard Academy.

In his announcement, Dullea thanked “Joelle Pretty who has provided strong leadership and support for our Career Services department as the Interim Director” and “the members of the Search Committee, including co-chairs Charles Lawrence and Michelle Clements, for their efforts in bringing this process to a successful conclusion.”
