Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton visited Seattle University with daughter Chelsea on Oct. 18 to speak about The Book of Gutsy Women: Favorite Stories of Courage and Resilience, which they coauthored. Joining the Clintons was Sue Bird of the Seattle Storm. Full coverage of the conversation is available at KUOW.
In the first book they've written together, Secretary Hillary Rodham Clinton and Chelsea Clinton celebrate the women who have inspired them throughout their lives, welcoming readers into a conversation they began having when Chelsea was a little girl and explores the women throughout history who have had the courage to stand up to the status quo, ask hard questions and get the job done.
The event was cosponsored by Seattle University College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Theology and Ministry in partnership with Elliott Bay Book Company.
