Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated in Memphis, Tenn. To mark the 50th anniversary of his death, students, staff and faculty are invited to a public reading of his poignant sermons and speeches, which begins 5:01 p.m. in the Library Plaza. The readings will be followed by a silent procession to the reflecting pool at the Chapel of St. Ignatius and a tolling of the chapel bells. The remembrance is cosponsored by the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Office of Multicultural Affairs and Campus Ministry. Event details can also be found at ConnectSU.
