“If you are here in Seattle, you may have noticed a new electric scooter program that recently launched in our area,” Associate Vice President for Student Development and Dean of Students James Willette wrote to students today. “While these devices may offer a convenient way to travel about the city for some, recent research indicates that they pose a number of safety risks and have led to several injuries. For this reason, the use of electric scooters is not permitted on Seattle University’s campus. If you choose to use an electric scooter off-campus, we encourage you to wear a helmet and take a moment to review this short safety video.”
