A Night to Remember at MoPOP

Spring Ball, previously known as Fall Ball, is one of Student Events and Activities Council’s (SEAC) annual legacy events normally held during fall quarter. But due to the rise of the Omicron variant in the fall, SEAC rescheduled this semi-formal dance for April 8.

The event was held at the Museum of Pop Culture (MoPOP) in downtown Seattle. Because it was hosted at the museum, students who attended the ball not only had access to the live DJ but exhibits as well, including Heroes & Villains: The Art of the Disney Costume, Indie Game Revolution, Guitar Gallery and Nirvana: Taking Punk to the Masses.

The night was filled with smiles, music and laughter as upperclassmen remembered their days as freshman when they last attended the event. The dance also served as an opportunity for attendees to meet one another in an environment outside of academics. 

Inside a photo booth took provided pictures for groups and couples who lined up wanting to document the memories they were creating. Spring Ball served as a reminder of life before COVID-19 and gave students the chance to experience what life at SU was like before the pandemic hit.
