This year’s theme is, “We've Come This Far by Faith: Transforming the Dream into a Reality." Alex is a doctoral candidate at SU’s School of Theology and Ministry and serves as director of the Matt Talbot Center, a Seattle nonprofit that operates a substance abuse treatment program and offers restorative services to Seattle's homeless, addicted and mentally ill populations. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., reflecting on the lessons he imparted, the dreams he shared and how we can continue to respond to his call to act in great love. This year, local Black farmers, educators and community organizers have been invited to speak about the relationship between food, farm and freedom.
